“The Moment of Luminosity”, an oil on canvas painting, is a smaller version of another painting, “Her Majesty Light”. It is my practice to paint in series- this gives me an opportunity to study lots of variations of the same subject matter.
It is all about light, the effect that light has on us- the hope, the hopefulness, the joy, the place of safety. This impressionistic oil landscape expressively depicts deep beauty and spirituality of trees. Rich texture of the palette knife’s bold strokes adds energy and vibrancy.
