The Wild View of the Windmolen | 20"x16" | framed
“The Wild View of the Windmolen”, an oil landscape, inspired by the local treasure here in Holand, Michigan, where we live. “Windmolen” is “windmill” in Dutch. Even though it is mostly famous for its flower garden, I was intrigued, as usually, by a wild side of the property, the wildflowers growing along the banks of the canal, leading toward the famous windmill, that was brought from the Netherlands.
If you respond to water’s tranquility, then this landscape might be the one for your home. All of my paintings are done in an impressionistic way celebrating the sensation and feeling more that representing a portrait of natural scene. I frequently use a pallet knife to add even more expressiveness.
